Some recent events with some highly rated corporates have left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
In One case a leading agency I have been dealing with for the last couple of years and who commands a lot of market respect has really shocked me with its callous approach to accepted protocols on professional interface.
While they have been consistently performing poorly on critical and timely communication responses , The company I represent on enterprise mobility software in India has serviced them with demos thrice as per their specs.I can totally understand if demos are found to be not good enough. But, to my dismay, I have found that the demos have not even been tested.Since it is on SaaS platform,one can easily track logins and usage.And all the while the agency has kept us involved in multiple discussions.And no closure of discussions ever, multiple teams come up with queries, new teams speak to you every time, every new team scraps the earlier brief, they bitch about each other….
While I normally admire Indian corporate professionalism , such events go a long way in reaffirming a shallow image global corporations have of India and Indians of Indian professionalism and standards of corporate governance.Not that they themselves adhere to it.
